Event Description

Put on your walking shoes and join Cedar Rapids Historian Mark Stoffer Hunter on this exclusive Save CR Heritage walking tour of the Harrison Elementary School neighborhood in NW Cedar Rapids! Learn about the area’s history, including landmarks such as the Mother Mosque of America, Trinity-St. James United Methodist Church and The Flamingo! See inside the rare English Tudor/Gothic-style Harrison Elementary School, where the tour begins, and walk past the site of the original Harrison School, as well.

Tours are: 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, and 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Harrison Elementary, 1310 11th St. NW, Cedar Rapids.

Tickets: $10 each at the door or free with $25 annual Save CR Heritage membership.
